Two People I’d Like To Meet

Recent additions to the ‘Urban Hieroglyphics” gallery include the following photos:

Make Art Or Die

and

Gland

I am oddly and equally interested in meeting both the person who is compelled to carve out the mantra “Make Art Or Die” into the wet cement, and the author of the “Gland” graffiti.

My question for “Gland”:

Are you just really into glands in general? Is this a nick name? Is there a particular gland we are talking about?

My question for “Make Art or Die”:

I think I love this sentiment. Just want to make sure it’s not like a hostage situation, threat kind of thing you know? But, I suppose you would have said “Make art or I will kill you” if that was the case.

15 Below

It’s -15 below, yes -15 below. We still fill the train though. The train limps along at a substantially less than “blistering” pace. The rails squeak and “ker chunk” under the weight of the frozen box car; its seams bursting with bundled pilgrims heading to work.

“Sleeping is my leisure
Waking up in a minefield
Dream is just a pleasure dome
Love is a roulette wheel – life is real
Life is real, life is real, oh yeah

Queen, “Life is Real”
